FAIRLIGHT NURSERY AT CHRISTMAS

In December the children in Nursery will be practising a full range of Christmas Songs.

During the last week of Nursery we will make a number of films and recordings of these and they will be shared here for a few weeks over Christmas so that you can share these with family and friends.

This is something we have done over several years and something our families love.

Nanny's and Grandads, Aunts and Uncles and friends and families across the world get to hear the amazing singing voices and see the fun actions also.

SPECIAL MR JORDAN CHRISTMAS REINDEER COMPETITION

In the month of December many parents are  busy getting ready for Christmas. Putting up decorations.

Shopping.

Doing last minute decorating ready for the family to descend.

And the weather isn't always great.

This is a little competition to keep the children occupied.

Below are several templates for Reindeers as well as some pictures of Reindeers (though they are a bit boring!!!).

The competition is EASY.

Design and make your own 3D Reindeer.

ANY design (you might want to use the template- you may want to make your own).

ANY style (could be Christmas- might be a Ronaldo Reindeer- Fortnite Reindeer- there are so many options).

ANY materials (paint/ material/ crayons/ pens).

ANY size.

These must be in school on Tuesday 17th December 2024 for judging.

Prizes will be given on this day.

ONLY ONE ENTRY per child- however each entry can include a sleigh full of reindeers.

CHRISTMAS AT ST MARTINS CHURCH

Many of our Christmas events and shows are held at St Martin's Church.

We use this amazing venue as it allows us to hold just one event and be able to invite everyone in the family. We would never be able to do this if we did the show in the hall. We would have to do tickets and restrict numbers etc. All of which doesn't feel very Chrsitmassy.

It does however mean we only get one practise beforehand in the venue and end up using a range of equipment and systems. Parents have offered to play music and support with this (thank you for that) however we like to keep it simple and rustic and involve the children in different roles.

We are joined by children and families who come from a range of backgrounds and religions who are made extremely welcome at St Martins (many other faiths actually worship in the church) however we are aware that some do not want to attend.

If you do not want your child to attend the Christmas events in St Martins Church on religious grounds then please speak to your child's classteacher and inform them of your reasons.

As I have said all faiths and all children are welcome to join us and often do.
