HOLIDAY CAMPS, SCHEMES AND ACTIVITIES

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides FREE holiday activities and food for those receiving benefits-related free school meals.

All children can attend the Holiday Schemes at Fairlight.

HAF provides a programme of free activities during the school Easter, summer, and winter holidays, for people who receive benefits-related free school meals. Activities include sports, arts, music, personal development, and more.   Children and young people also receive a free balanced meal as part of their day.

Easter HAF Activities

Funded by the Department for Education, the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme provides FREE activities over the school Easter holidays for those in Reception to Year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. All participants also receive a meal.
Visit Brighton & Hove's online booking tool to see what's available and request bookings.

Easter HAF is offering everything from sport camps to playschemes, music to STEM activities, family cookery workshops to drama, and outdoor and adventurous activities.
There are also several providers offering tickets, specifically for those who receive free school meals with SEND. These providers will have 1:4 ratios in place. Look out for SEND HAF tickets.
There are more details about HAF on the council website, or contact HAF@brighton-hove.gov.uk.

Further support available for those with SEND:
Brighton & Hove City Council have put the Childcare Inclusion Fund in place for those with an EHCP, to make additional funding available where additional staff or resources are required to make HAF provision more accessible. We urge families and providers to work together early to apply for funds and make arrangements.
If you do not feel HAF activities meet the needs of your child, you may also want to visit the heavily subsidised SEND Short Break activities offer for children and young people aged 4 years (Reception) to 25 years with SEND. Please direct questions regarding SEND Short Breaks to: Short.Breaks@Brighton-Hove.gov.u
